FPYA continues its humanitarian efforts to supply and distribute safe drinking water to thousands of displaced people in shelter centers in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, with funding from the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA). This comes as part of efforts to alleviate the difficult humanitarian conditions faced by displaced families in the Gaza Strip.
These efforts come amid the severe overcrowding of displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area and the acute shortage of basic resources, especially water, which further exacerbates the suffering of families living in harsh conditions inside tents and shelter centers.
The project aims to ensure the regular and consistent delivery of water to displaced families’ tents and shelter centers, helping to ease the daily burdens faced by displaced households.
A spokesperson for FPYA said: “Our continued provision of water to displaced families is not merely a relief effort, but a humanitarian and moral duty toward our people under the current circumstances.” The spokesperson also expressed appreciation for the ongoing support of the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), which continues to stand by children and affected families in the Gaza Strip.
FPYA confirmed that its field teams are working around the clock to overcome logistical challenges and ensure the continued delivery of water to shelter centers, stressing that water supply campaigns will continue as long as the need remains and the necessary support is available
