Field Visit to Inspect Debris Clearance Project Sites for Explosive Remnants of War in Khan Younis
The coordinator of the “Debris Clearance to Facilitate Access to Life-Saving Services in Khan Younis Governorate” project conducted a field visit with a team from the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) to the project’s targeted areas before debris clearance operations begin.
The visit included inspecting the work sites, assessing potential risks posed by explosive ordnance and remnants of war, and identifying locations requiring specialized intervention for their safe removal. These measures aim to protect field teams, machinery operators, and civilians during project implementation.
This visit forms part of the precautionary and coordination measures preceding field operations.
