The project will reopen and rehabilitate 56 main and secondary roads, facilitating the movement of civilians and vehicles while enabling ambulance crews, civil defence teams, humanitarian personnel, and essential service providers to reach affected communities more quickly and safely.

This intervention responds to urgent humanitarian needs arising from damaged roads and accumulated debris, which have impeded the delivery of life-saving services and humanitarian assistance, as well as the safe return of families to their residential areas.

FPYA emphasised that the project represents an important step towards improving accessibility, supporting early recovery efforts, restoring essential services, and strengthening the resilience of communities across Khan Younis Governorate.
