A football tournament has been launched in southern Gaza by Al-Fajr Youth Association in partnership with Wafaa Al-Muhsineen Association, aiming to revive sports activity in Rafah and Khan Younis.
The announcement was made during a meeting attended by key sports and community figures, where discussions focused on organizing the tournament as part of sports recovery efforts and to help relieve psychological pressure on players.
Ten clubs confirmed their participation, including leading teams from Rafah and clubs from Khan Younis, reflecting strong engagement and a clear desire to resume football activities.
A technical committee has been formed to oversee the tournament, including naming, branding, and selecting the venue.
