Implementation Details
As part of the emergency and rapid-response plan, and in cooperation with Al-Fajr Palestinian Youth Association, Human Appeal provided 1,000 hot meals and 500 winterization kits to affected families who were evacuated from coastal areas and accommodated at the Qatar Shelter Site, east of Hamad City.
This intervention responds to the urgent humanitarian needs of families whose tents were inundated by seawater, resulting in the loss of their belongings and essential supplies and forcing them to relocate to the shelter site in search of protection and safe accommodation.
The hot meals and winterization kits helped address some of the families’ essential needs and supported them in coping with the cold and severe weather conditions, particularly during the first days following their evacuation.
This intervention represents an initial step in ongoing efforts to assist affected families and meet their emergency needs. Assessments will continue to monitor their conditions and identify their humanitarian priorities for the coming phase.
AlFajr Palestinian Youth Association expresses its appreciation to its partner, Human Appeal, for its support and reaffirms its commitment to continued coordination and joint action to strengthen the emergency response, alleviate the suffering of affected families, and provide safer and more dignified shelter conditions.
